Here's everything you need to know about booking my fingerstyle guitar, but if there's something you'd like to ask, don't hesitate to contact me :)

Where are you based and how far will you travel?

I live in Bicester, Oxfordshire, and mainly perform locally and in the surrounding counties: Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Northamptonshire, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and Warwickshire. But I will travel anywhere in England, Wales and Scotland, though further distances will be accounted for in the fee.

How long do you take to set up?

Approximately 25 minutes.

Will you learn a specific song?

This is common to ask for a specific song to be learnt for the processional, signing of the registry and recessional. Yes for an extra charge, providing it is possible to feasibly make an arrangement of the song for fingerstyle guitar. I can also professionally record it for your wedding video, also for a fee.

Can we request certain songs from your repertoire list?

Yes, feel free to browse through the list above and select some songs for your aisle march, signing of the registry and recessional walk; or just general songs that you’d like at some point in the set. And if there are any songs to avoid, please let me know in advance.

I need to practise the timing of my aisle march! Will you send me a recording of the processional song?

Yes many brides request this and is perfectly understandable! In most cases, only a verse and chorus of the song is needed, but whether you’re a Usain Bolt or a tortoise, I will end the song appropriately when you arrive at the front.

How long do you play for?

I find that playing for 25 minutes before the ceremony begins is the perfect amount of time as guests enter and be seated. For post-ceremony mingling and wedding breakfast sections, please let me know timings and I’ll be able to fill however long you like.

Will you play outside?

Yes, providing there is virtually no chance of rain. If you intend for me to play outside, we will discuss a plan for the possibility of unfortunate weather, including the consideration of gazebos, flat ground (if uneven, puddles can form) and power supply.

What equipment do you use?

RCF Speaker, Pro FX10 mixer, Taylor acoustic guitar, RC30 loop pedal.

Is your equipment PAT tested and do you have Public Liability Insurance?

All of my equipment is PAT tested and I can provide you/the venue with the certificate. And yes I have PLI up to £10m with my Musician’s Union membership.

How much space do you need?

Just enough for little old me, my speaker and guitar stand, around 2x2M would be all good.

Can you provide a song through your speakers for the recessional song?

Yes, I can play a downloaded Spotify song/playlist through my PA system as your exit music.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, 50% is to be paid in the initial booking to secure the date, and then the remaining balance is due at least a month prior to the event.

Can we come and see you play live?

Many, if not all of my fingerstyle bookings are for private weddings. However I do often open the 2nd set of my guitar/vocal public gigs with a fingerstyle song, so please see the ‘Gig Guide’ page of this website where you’ll find all of my public gigs listed. Do let me know that you’re coming and we can chat in person about your big day and I’ll happily demonstrate more fingerstyle guitar to you before, in between or after my sets.

Can we call you to discuss details?

Yes. We can arrange phone calls or zoom calls to discuss the finer details of your day. And that is whether you’ve already booked, or if you’re still the decision stage of who to book. No extra charges apply.

Do you just do weddings or do you play at other events too?

I’ll perform at any event. Proposals, funerals, bars, restaurants… you name it :)
